Microdermabrasion is now the most popular skin treatment in the United States accounting for nearly 70% of all cosmetic treatments. At The Body Clinic we use the PowerPeel™ Microdermabrasion system; it is the leading microdermabrasion system in the USA and used by many of the Hollywood stars. PowerPeel™ Microdermabrasion can be thought of as a mild form of sandblasting for effective exfoliation of the skin surface. The treatment consists of very fine particles of aluminium oxide blown at the skin under pressure and then immediately vacuumed back up along with the dead skin cells.
