Over 90% of the population suffers from active acne to some degree. The acne resolves itself within 5 years for 70% of those individuals. For the remaining 30%, they will continue with what is known as adult acne. The usual GP of dermatologist approach to treating acne is antibiotics. Some of which can be very aggressive and their effect can diminish over time as resistence grows.
