Varicose Veins are a common complaint of the upper and lower legs caused by failure of the low pressure venous system.
It may be a failure in elasticity of the vein walls or of the valves that should ensure that blood flows back to the heart rather than pooling within the veins.

Depending on which blood vessels are involved, the varicoses will vary and there are a range of options for each type
